More "2nd" birthday celebrations...

Jake's 2nd Birthday...continued

(The sequence of these photos are bottom to top)

I have a weakness for cupcakes and carousels. With that being said, Mommy baked me a GIANT cupcake that she made in to a carousel (or attempted to). Mommy was stressed because she thought it looked like a 2nd grader made the cake. However, I did not care one bit...when I saw it - I was SO happy!!! The look of pure happiness on my face made Mommy's heart melt - and all her stresses about the cake not being perfect were instantly gone.

Jake's 2nd Birthday

I am offically TWO years old! Since I am such an animal lover, Mommy, Daddy, along with my Grandparents on both sides, took me to the Out of Africa Wildlife Zoo just outside of Phoenix. I had a great time! We went on a safari, where we fed cookies to the "zereeebas" (as I call them) and the giraffes.
Mommy and Daddy both got wet kisses from the giraffe, as I watched in amazement. We saw a show called, "Tiger Splash", where two grown tigers put on quite a show. They jumped in and splashed around in the pool, played chase with their trainers and various other cool tricks. I had a wonderful day with my family...a perfect way to spend my "2nd" birthday!

My First Potty

On March 8th, 2009, I got my very first "big boy potty". My favorite stuffed friends, Elephant and Monkey, picked it out just for me!
My eyes lit up when I realized it had a place for "toilet paper". As you can see, I stuffed as much paper as I possibly could in my new toilet. Mommy asked me if I wanted to go pee - pee on my new toilet. I said, "YES" and we took off my diaper. I was so excited that I went on the rug behind it (as pictured).
Yes...we have some work to do!
